Franstyle, the miniatures brand, had not yet penetrated the Renault ranks, but now it has done so with a 1/43rd scale model of the experimental 1981 Renault EVE. A four-door sedan based on the Renault 18, the EVE's optimised aerodynamics and all-electronic engine offered significant fuel savings.

New miniatures appear regularly on magazine stands in various countries around the world. South America is no exception, especially Argentina. A country where Renault has played a dominant role since the late 1950s. It takes some time for these miniatures to make their way to Europe and become available through the well-known sales outlets. Here is a Renault 9 TSE Edición Limitada, a model with painted bumpers, red stripes and GTS alloy wheels. Below is an Argentinian Renault 12 in the last version delivered between 1992 and the end of production in 1994.

After Norev released the Renault Austral on a scale of 1:43 some time ago, Solido has now come up with this SUV. There are two colours to choose from, white and Rouge Flamme. The latter is a little too intense. The strangest thing is that the Solido Austral has the fuel filler cap on the wrong side.

Details

On a larger scale, Solido presents us with two variations on existing themes. One is an Alpine A110 1600S that Jean Pierre Nicolas and Michel Vial drove in the 1972 Monte Carlo Rally. They had to settle for thirty-third place overall in that rally.

We have already seen the Renault Fuego Turbo on a scale of 1:18 from Solido in various colours. Now a white version has been added. Both doors open to give collectors a full view of the detailed interior.

The Renault Estafette has been available in 1/18th scale for some time. But Norev added its own version. The brand started with the very first version in a low and short version. It chose the striking colours offered at the launch in 1959, such as blue and orange.

No less than three new miniatures have been added to the Renault Trucks online shop. These include a blue E-Tech T 4x2 tractor on a scale of 1:43, obviously made by Eligor. A white version of the Renault Trucks T High has been released in 1/43rd scale with the new logo. Eligor also made a much larger 1:24 scale version of the T High.

Aubergine

And then we come to Otto, which is also very active when it comes to new Renault models. The Renault 5 GTL five-door was born in burgundy with a beige interior. A model that has once again been worked out in great detail.

We already know the Renault 16 TX in various colours, and now we have this aubergine metallic with a beige interior. A colour that was only available for a short time in the early days of the 16 TX.

On the sporty side, Otto also manages to make a strong showing in 1:18. Norev has already produced a 1/43rd scale version of the unique Renault 5 Turbo 3E, an all-electric interpretation of the original Renault 5 Turbo. The electric motor at the rear produces no less than 380 hp. The black body features a huge rear spoiler, pink tinted windows and camouflage stripes with the current Renault logo. The car looks like something out of a computer game, which is how Renault presented this one-off to the public.

The fourth generation Clio R.S. has a lot of fans. That's why Otto has released a very special 1:18 scale version, the Clio R.S. 18, to celebrate Renault's participation in Formula 1. The car has a 220 bhp engine up front, a special interior and exterior features with references to the king of motorsport.

Respect

Renault never forgets its sporty little cars, and neither does Otto with this red Renault Twingo R.S. Equipped with a 133 bhp 1.6 litre engine, this version was able to command respect on the racetrack. Otto has given the model the original stripes, which you can also choose to decorate. A miniature down to the last detail.
