Diagnostics

The more modern a Renault becomes, the more sophisticated the equipment used by dealers. Nowadays, a laptop is enough to read all the functions and faults of a car. But when the Renault 16 arrived on the scene in the 1960s, the diagnostic boxes looked much more impressive. On this Sun 1020, numerous gauges had to provide the mechanic with all the information he needed to do his job quickly and accurately. In those days, engine tuning was done with a flashlight. Many fans of old models who like to tinker with their cars still have this option at home. It was a great time, but sadly long gone.
