In this column we take a look at unusual Renault products.
Gone are the days when employers provided a nutritious meal for their staff at lunchtime. It's not that those employers don't want to anymore, but because the tax authorities see it as a reward, hard-working employees either have to provide it themselves or at least pay for it.
Pictured here is a piece of special Renault crockery used in many factories and import branches in the 1960s and 1970s. This example was used in the canteen of Renault Nederland, then located in the Wibautstraat in Amsterdam. A simple white sign with the colourful Renault logo of yesteryear at the top.
France is associated with good food, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. So it is not surprising that in the rich past Renault had this kind of utensil made to frame the tasty dishes. Sadly, those days are gone.
