Traditionally, the Losange Passion International takes place every two years. The organisation of France's biggest Renault and Alpine celebration is once again being handled by CAR Île de France and will take place on 29 June.
At Rétromobile, CAR Île de France opened registration for this year’s Losange Passion International. The level of interest in this major event is demonstrated by the fact that the opportunity to drive your own car on the Linas-Monthléry circuit was fully booked within a few weeks.
But there is more to come. More than 800 Renaults up to 2002, all Renault Sport models, special cars, coupés and cabriolets and all Alpine A110 models will be on display. The courtyard of the historic racetrack south of Paris will not only host the visitors' cars, but also a selection from the Renault factory collection on static and dynamic display. It is now known that the Caudron Renault Rafale aircraft will also be present. Something for everyone.
There are also a number of themes. Renault is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year. The organisation is trying to gather as many pre-war models as possible. Anyone who comes with such a car does not have to pay. It also commemorates the fact that the European Sports Prototype Championship was founded exactly 50 years ago. French racing driver Alain Serpaggi will therefore be guest of honour.
Fans of motorsport history will be delighted to see a large delegation of Renault 8 Gordinis and a selection of the coupé models (5 Alpine, 5 Alpine Turbo, 5 GT Turbo). Renault Histoire will also be present. Losange Magazine will explain to Renault enthusiasts the story of our brand's development in the United States through a number of cars and an exposé by Jean-Marie Reveille, who was involved in the pre-development of the Renault Premier in the 1980s. The ACMA will be exhibiting a large collection of scale models, and the event will traditionally end with a grand parade of all the participating vehicles around the circuit.
Finally, there will be numerous stands on the site selling spare parts, scale models, documentation and anything else related to Renault and Alpine.
Participants are welcome to arrive with their cars from 9 am. You can register on the website of the organising club. Go to the website www.anciennesrenault.com. Scroll down and click on 'inscription participant' for participants or 'billetterie visiteur' for visitors.
Entry costs 30 euros for a car with two occupants (free for children under 16). It is also possible to book a stand on the site. Entry tickets cannot be bought on site.
True Renault and Alpine enthusiasts should not miss this great event.
