Even before the new Renault Scenic E-Tech electric arrives in showrooms, Norev's 1/43rd scale versions can be ordered from your Renault dealer: a grey Esprit Alpine (7717 300 133) and a white Iconic (7717 300 134). Other colours will no doubt be added by Norev itself. And 3-inch versions are already on the way.
Another set of three is available from your Renault dealer. First, is the facelifted Renault Clio in the Esprit Alpine version in blue (7717 300 136). Norev is the manufacturer, so we can expect more colours, as well as the already announced 3-inch version in three differentshades.
Next, to complement the Renault 5 prototype, Norev has released a well-done 1/43rd scale version of the 4Ever Trophy concept. It also comes in a Renault box and is available from official dealers as well as online. The order number is 7717 300 233. With a little imagination, this car could be the final Renault 4 E-Tech electric, due in 2025.
The third newcomer is an electric concept revival of the Renault 5 Turbo, the 5 Turbo 3e. It will not go into production, but it represents its glorious history in a modern way (7717 300 232).
Even more 1:43
While the focus seems to be more and more on 1:18, here is a new trio in 1:43. The first is the so-called Voiture Flèche, published by AutoCult. This design by Robert Broyer, based on the Renault 4, never really existed apart from a 1:5 model. A limited series of 333 was produced. Enthusiasts should be quick.
Solido continues to expand its range of high quality 1/43rd scale miniatures. The Mégane R26R is now available in a third colour. On a grey background, the red accents are clearly visible.
Odeon is also releasing more and more surprising Renaults. A good example is this beige metallic 9 GTL Phase II. It is a very nice miniature with a slightly too long antenna. There is also a white version. Almost at the same time, the brand launched a five-door Renault 11 Turbo phase II with a choice of silver-grey or red paintwork. A Phase 1 already existed.
Looking at all the different versions of the Renault Master that appeared in the Véhicules Légers Sapeur Pompiers, it's hard not to think that many fire brigades use all the existing generations. In this case, a Master III from the Pyrenees for transporting people and dogs.
Another nice newcomer is the Sinpar Castor CCFM with a Guinard superstructure for fighting forest fires in the Drôme. Both fire engines have been released in 1/43rd scale.
The first newcomer in 1:18 scale is quite original. It is a five-door Renault 19 Phase II from the new brand Triple 9. As well as withthis police version, you can also choose between different colours. Too bad that it has alternating 16V alloy wheels on the phase I and phase II underneath.
Solido is expanding its 1:18 range with three new versions of existing models. The first is the 21 Turbo, which finished third in the 1991 Charlemagne Rally. The Renault 4 F4 has been around for a while, but a new version is now available in neutral white with a black radiator grille and the latest dashboard. The beige 1955 4CV with three "moustaches" at the front and a roof rack is very attractive.
And then in a flood of commercial vehicle news, Eligor released the latest edition of the Trafic in a white version in its own box and as a dark grey Red Edition in Renault Trucks packaging. The same goes for the black Renault Master Red Edition.
Eligor is very up to date with the new long Renault Kangoo in grey and now the L2 version of the Kangoo E-Tech electric, like the white one in the picture.
It is not only cars and vans that are increasingly going electric, but also trucks, such as Eligor's D-wide E-Tech, available from Renault Trucks.
