Early
evening

A world-famous spot, Notre-dame in Paris sometime in the second half of the 1960s. Atmospherically lit in the early evening with a blue Dauphine and red Renault 8 directly in front.

Place
Albert

Anyone who has ever been to Malmedy in the Belgian Ardennes will surely recognise Place Albert where this picture was shot in the mid-sixties. The Renault 4 is most prominent here, leaving only a supporting role for the Ami 6, MG A and a burly American.

Very
touristy

Formerly and still very touristy, Le Hohwald is located in Alsace (altitude 600 to 1,100 metres). On the right of the picture we see a 1937 Renault Celtaquatre, a van version because of the spare wheel on the right front mudguard. On the far left also a Celtraquatre, but from 1936 because of the number plate under the rear window.

Shiny
Monasix

It was no problem at all in the 1930s to park the car in the street leading to the church in Couloutre south-west of Auxerre (Nièvre department, Bougogne). There is only one, a beautifully shiny Renault Monasix.

The
1970s

Not exactly a festive atmosphere in the village of Le Breuil en Auge located in the Calvados. Yet there is one element that makes this map attractive and that is the white Renault 6 TL parked in front of the grey house, typically an image from the 1970s.

Observant
observer

Nerac en Albret in the Lot and Garonne has several impressive buildings. On this square, the Renault 4 with tubular bumpers (or is it an R3?) particularly attracts attention. But an observant observer will also spot a Dauphine and a 4CV.
