Mille Miles

1989

Nowadays we speak of limited editions, but in the eighties, this phenomenon also penetrated the ranks of Alpine. Based on the V6 Turbo, the Alpine V6 Mille Miles was produced in 1989 in a limited edition of only 100 units.

It was a version that distinguished itself on the outside by a special red pearl colour and polished turbo wheels. To make the distinction even greater, the Milles Miles wore special striping that ran narrowly from the left headlight to the windscreen. In this light grey striping, the letter A of Alpine was included together with the inscription Mille Miles.

Noble material

The model came standard with dark grey leather, with a perforated middle strip. But also the door panels, centre console and the dashboard were covered with this noble material. Of course, this top model got the famous 4x20W Radio Renault with controls on the steering column, and finally, there was a plate on the dashboard with the number of the series to further emphasise the exclusivity of the Mille Miles.

The 2.5-litre turbocharged V6 engine normally had an output of 200bhp, but for some countries, where the catalytic converter had already been introduced, the output did not exceed 185bhp.
