In this column we take a look at unusual Renault products.

The 4CV was the first newly developed Renault to be launched after the Second World War. The compact family car, which was economical in maintenance and consumption, aroused great interest. Renault increased production figures considerably in the first few years. Therefore, in 1954, the 500,000th Renault 4CV was produced. The factory celebrated this in all sorts of ways.
Children were not forgotten. Renault distributed these red pins and a "blotter" explaining how children could win one of the five real 4CVs.
Children were asked to collect a photograph from a dealer showing four 4CVs with missing parts. This photo was also displayed on the windows of the French showrooms.  Those who could name all the missing parts had a chance to win the real car. Many, especially young boys, participated at that time and wore the red badge.
