Lowered through Paris

Clearly a street scene from Paris. To be precise, from 1934. Here we see a Renault PN city bus cutting a bend. This is the first type of Renault bus that was used in large quantities by the Parisian city transport organisation S.T.C.R.P.. An order was placed for no less than 337 units. The first were delivered in 1927 on solid rubber tyres, but two years later they switched to pneumatic tyres. This type of bus is characterised by an extremely low floor, allowing passengers to board via the open platform at the rear without using steps. The last PNs left the active service in 1950.
