German
Dauphine

The enormous popularity of the Dauphine all over the world can be seen in this postcard of which the picture was taken in Frankfurt, Germany, near the Eschenheimer Tower.

Zaragoza
Square

Renault has been one of the most popular brands in Spain for decades. Not surprisingly, here in Valencia, on the Zaragoza square, we come across a Renault 8, which was built in that country for a long time. Even after the production stop in France.

Style
of Mulhouse

The style of this town hall, whose origins date back to 1552, already shows that we are in the north-east of France. The white Dauphine is parked here in Mulhouse together with a Citroën DS and on the left a Renault 16.

Renault 4CV
cream colored

The large number of parked cars made in France makes it clear that we are also here in France, in Beauvais to be precise, near the towers of the Palace of Justice. Lovely that red Dauphine in the foreground with a cream-colored 4CV behind it on the left.  Also two Simca's 1000 and a Citroën Ami 6.

Notre Dame
de la Garde

In southern French Marseille they have a huge church, the Notre Dame de la Garde basilica. The mischievous Renault 4CV stands out from the crowd in terms of size. Luckily the photographer has immortalized the rounded four-door car in the foreground.

Porte
d'Envalira

On the 2.407 meter high top of the Port d'Envalira in Andorra we encounter this silver-grey Dauphine painted in one of the first metal paints Renault delivered in the sixties. The red American convertible at the gas station is almost reminiscent of a scene from overseas.
