The Erasmus+ project INFORMATION MATTERS developed and tested teaching materials for over-55s and a training programme on media wisdom and digital literacy for teachers in adult education. The project was developed in response to the challenges posed by the global infodemic, fake news and misinformation.

In the context of INFORMATION MATTERS, media literacy means being able to critically assess, analyse and understand all the different types of media reports. Digital literacy helps people to properly navigate an increasingly digital world, where it’s important to be able to handle social media, websites and apps and their impact on society.

One of the results of this project is a series of video tutorials for adults to learn about different aspects of media and digital literacy in an informal way. Another is a set of video tutorials to support instructors in teaching about this subject.

The videos are available in four languages: English, German, Bulgarian and Romanian.
