Before starting this Master’s at Nova SBE, for me the word Hospitality was only connected with hotels and tourism. However, during my path on this area of expertise I completely changed this idea, as now I feel that it can be applied to every service-oriented business. The simple act of depositing money in the bank or going to a supermarket can be examples of a very good customer experience with an excellence service, which will be the differentiation factor against the competition.

Choosing to pursue a Master’s degree in Nova SBE was a very much thought decision. Yet, I could not be more satisfied with the current outcomes -at Nova SBE, we have the opportunity to embark in an international environment and instantly connect with alike minded people. Not only, the extraordinary campus facilities make it a true pleasure to go to the university! Joining the freshly created Area of Expertise in Hospitality and Service Management has allowed me to further deepen my knowledge in this field and to develop projects with colleagues around it: the result was the creation of a Hospitality Student Club, which complements the theoretical learnings and provides all the members excellent network and growth opportunities. Since childhood, I was always extremely passionate about the tourism industry and overall hospitality sector. Moving to Portugal and completely falling in love with it was a big step towards pursuing this interest. At that time, I was already working in the hospitality sector but decided to deepen my knowledge and chose Nova SBE Masters in Management program with an area of expertise in Hospitality and Service. Since the hospitality industry is very distinctive and always changing, I was eager to gain more experience and skills in order to become a better specialist.
