Fusion Futures Industry Capability webinar

The Fusion Futures programme ran an Industry Collaboration webinar on the 10th of July with over 200 attendees!

In 2023, UKAEA was allocated £650 million for the UK's alternative programme to associating to Euratom R&T. The Fusion Futures programme aims to create a strong UK industrial sector that leads the world in operationalising and commercialising fusion energy. This year's Fusion Futures Industry Capability funding is designed to begin that process by partnering with the supply chain to deliver projects that will enhance the fusion-related capability and capacity of the UK industrial sector. Thirty projects have been approved for delivery in this first year of the programme. From work on extending real-time plasma control frameworks, to remote in-situ repair of damaged components, to redevelopment of the JET Active Gas Handling System, the portfolio of work is varied and exciting.

The webinar gave suppliers an opportunity to learn more about these projects with information from speakers including Colette Broadwith, Steve Wheeler, Adam Stephen and many more. This gave suppliers the chance to learn how to bid for the work and ask any questions they had about the programme.
