UKAEA’s 7th Supplier’s Event
had a brilliant turnout!

The UKAEA’s 7th Supplier’s Event, which took place on the 5th of April at Culham, had a brilliant turnout.

Thank you to everyone who joined!

Not only did we have large organizations attend, but we also had a number of micro and SMEs.

We are pleased with the positive feedback received and confident in the benefits these events bring to our supply chain.

We are already planning the UKAEA’s 8th Supplier’s Event, due to take place in July 2022. This event will delve in more detail into the project updates across UKAEA's programmes. More information will be realised closer to the event. Don’t miss it!

The 30th Symposium on Fusion Engineering

Get ready for the next STEP!

Taking a STEP towards industry engagement

As the STEP programme develops it will work closely in partnership with industry to grow the capacity and capability it needs to deliver a prototype fusion energy power plant by the early 2040s.

The programme has recently published two headline descriptions for important tenders that will be issued later this year on the UKAEA procurement pipeline – one for engineering design and the other for construction. These will be multi-year, multi-million contracts that the programme wishes to place within the next 18 months.

The team are currently planning an event in July to engage with suppliers that might be interested to work with STEP to support its very exciting development. The venue is yet to be confirmed however it is likely to be in the Oxford area – more detail will be confirmed and shared as soon as it is available.
